Pero sus obras no podemos entenderlas como autorretratos, sino más bien como desdoblamientos o deconstrucciones del propio ‘yo', algo que le sirve para conformar otros personajes a partir de esa imagen

Yet, i'd feel reluctant to call them self-portraits - you do not call them yourself-, since they are not exactly an elaboration around your personal, individual identity, but are perhaps rather and above all a fictional representation exercise. In spite of that, it's still a fact that the represented likeness is always, after all, in some way, your own...
